The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education (AP DSC) has postponed the written exams for various teacher positions. While a revised date for the ELPT (TGT, PGT, Principal) is set for April 7, 2024, the department awaits confirmation for the remaining exams.
The Teacher Recruitment Examination AP DSC Hall Ticket (AP DSC Teacher Hall Ticket) will be available starting on March 21, 2024. To download the material, applicants must log in to the office’s AP DSC site.
As soon as feasible, the applicants should download their admission card in order to show up for the test.
AP DSC Teacher Posts Notification
The Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has published a notification on 6100 Teacher vacancies across the state under Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, APDSC 2024.
Posts breakdown: 1264 TGT, 215 PGT, 2280 SGT, and 2299 School Assistant positions.

Andhra Pradesh DSC Teacher Exam Schedule
The test will be administered at several test locations around the state from March 15 to 30, 2024. The 2024 AP DSC Exam will be offered in two shifts to meet the large number of applicants. The following are the specifics of the shifts:
- Shift I: the morning shift, begins at 9:30 AM and finishes at 12:00 PM. This shift’s exam lasts for two hours and thirty minutes.
- Afternoon Shift (Shift II): The afternoon test lasts three hours, starting at 2:30 PM and ending at 5:30 PM.

AP DSC Teacher Recruitment Selection Process
- Weighting of Scores: The scores of the candidates in Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) and the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) are based upon their results. The TET adds 20 percent to the final weighted score while the TRT has an 80 percent weighting.
- Document Verification / Personal Interview: After the assessment of the weighted scores, candidates that will be shortlisted will go through a document scrutiny as well as a personal interview. Next, the candidate’s suitability for teaching is assessed, and the validity of their documents and credentials are examined.
- Final Merit List: Upon the completion of the selection process, the scores obtained from TRT, TET, and interview are combined with the outcome of the document verification operation to produce a Final Merit List. Through openings and reservation procedures, candidates with high merit are awarded priority for teaching positions.
