Air Force Group Y Recruitment Notification 2024
Indian Air Force is organizing a recruitment drive for IAF Group Y/Medical Assistant Trade. The recruitment opportunity is for some North Indian states– Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and the Union Territories– Jammu Kashmir, Chandigarh and Ladakh.
According to the Indian Air Force Group Y Recruitment 2024, the online application process starts on May 22. The closing date is June 5, 2024. The recruitment rally will be held from July 3 to July 12, 2024, at the Base Repair Depot, Chandigarh.

IAF Airmen Vacancies – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must pass the 12th/ Intermediate or equivalent exams with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum 50% marks in the mentioned subjects.
- For Diploma and B.Sc Pharmacy students, the applicant should secure 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from PCI (Pharmacy Council of India).
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be unmarried.
- The 12th pass candidate should be born between January 2, 2004, to January 2, 2008.
- For Pharmacy Diploma holders the candidate should be born between January 2, 2001, to January 2, 2006.
Residence:
Indian Citizen/ Gorkha (only male) with domicile certificate from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Chandigarh, and Ladakh.
Registration Fee Details
The candidates have to pay a certain amount to complete the application process for IAF Airmen Group Y recruitment. All the candidates must pay ₹100 plus GST through Net banking/ UPI/ Credit/ Debit card.

Air Force Group Y Jobs – Selection Process
The selected process includes several stages of tests. Follow the selection process here—
Physical Fitness Test:
This stage includes physical fitness tests as well as document verification. A 1.6 km run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats within the stipulated time are some of the physical tests that a candidate must follow.
Written Test:
It will be a written objective-type test. The topics include English, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
Subsequent Adaptability Test:
This test is a rigorous military lifestyle test for the Indian Air Force to check a candidate’s adaptability.
Medical Examination:
It is a medical fitness test conducted by the Indian Air Force Medical Team. The candidate must satisfy the height, chest measurements, and specific vision requirements.
